Sound Underground is a compact trio with an expansive imagination. Saxophonist David Leon, trumpeter Alec Aldred, and guitarist Jonah Udall draw on a broad array of influences from Cool Jazz to Americana, to Bulgarian folklore and the avant-garde to distil a unique and deeply personal voice. Hailed by AllAboutJazz.com as a fresh sound... uncluttered and open... capable of grabbing a listener's attention and holding it indefinitely, Sound Underground steers through inventive textures far beyond the limits of their unconventional chamber instrumentation. At once serious and whimsical, thought-provoking and smile-inducing, the trio spins colorful stories that ring immediately true.

Sound Underground released its self-titled debut in 2014 with a tour of Eastern Europe, performing at major international jazz festivals in Bulgaria and Serbia. Now based in Miami and New York City, they have been on the rise ever since, touring on across the U.S. as well as returning to the continent. Their sophomore album Quiet Spaces was released in September 2016.

David Lynch, Beethoven, and Michael McDonald walk into a K-Mart commercial. Things get a little wild and nine months later, Seattle-based DIY band Heatwarmer is born. Jazz-brained, cheeky, and new wave-nostalgic, Heatwarmer is the absurdist darling of Luke Bergman, Aaron Otheim, and Evan Woodle, three music school cherry pickers who've spent a lot of time with their grandparents. Reclaiming dad funk and yacht rock as their own, Heatwarmer spans the whole sonic gamut: combining west coast smooth jazz, eerie Twin Peaks synth-pop, with the humor and hoke of a 70s game show.

A reinvention rather than a refutation, the name Kuinka comes from the Finnish for how; how does a band bristling with spirited creativity continue to evolve artistically and challenge themselves while staying true to their own roots? For Kuinka, the answer comes in the form of letting go: a joyful acquiescence to faith in their cumulative love of songwriting and shared experience, regardless of genre or instrumentation. Brothers Zach and Nathan Hamer, along with Miranda Zickler and Jillian Walker, came together in 2014 to form a unique breed of string band; one proudly defiant of preconceived notions of what fits under the label 'Americana'.

Their 2014 debut The Wild North, which propelled the band out of the woods and onto stages across the country, was followed by their 2016 breakout LP The Heartland. Both albums were recorded at the famed Bear Creek Studio in Woodinville, WA (Fleet Foxes, Metric), and led to featured performances at dozens of festivals and several successful national headlining tours. Home from touring The Heartland, all four found themselves in the midst of major life changes both as people and as artists; moving out of the house they'd shared for the previous two years to new cities and broadening the total palette from which they draw as musicians. After fleshing out new songs in rehearsal, the band headed to a studio near Portland, OR with the trusted ears of longtime producer Jerry Streeter (Brandi Carlile, The Lumineers). The quartet was joined in the studio with their touring wizard of the woodwinds John Benefiel who handled clarinet and saxophone.

The songs on their forthcoming release Stay Up Late ring with the vibrancy of exploration and discovery. We've spent our time as a band in pursuit of a unique sound that captures our energy and essence, says Zickler. Once we came together and started work on the new singles, we knew it was time to redefine ourselves. We'd love for our music to be a soundtrack to adventure. The change represents finding your way, for both us and our listeners."

TELLERS originated with singer /songwriter Sarah Feinberg, whose music is known for its honesty and introspection. After compiling songs, Sarah collaborated with her longtime friend Brad Heyne and the two began playing shows. A year into the band's formation, Tyler Chism and Isaac Melum were added to the lineup.

They came to greater attention as a part of Everett's growing music scene with their debut EP Walking Blind, as well as playing shows from Bellingham to Seattle with artists such as Damien Jurado, Cataldo, Shelby Earl, Grace Love & the True Loves, Kuinka, Planes On Paper, Karl Blau, and Smokey Brights.

Their debut EP titled Walking Blind is a fresh direction for the band. It grapples with the uncertainties of life and the desire to make sense of the unknown, which comes out as strongly in the music as in the lyrics. The blend of heartfelt and ambient rock n roll wanders into new, yet familiar territory with each song.
